Intentions Shape our Reality and our Future

This year we will learn and practice intentions weekly and monthly.. Taking small steps creates a bigger impact. By dialing in our intentions from “being present” to “being present while I brush my teeth” we can set clear action plans. It’s also important to distinguish our intentions from our goals.

Goals are concrete clear and actionable, while intentions are more about how we feel. Intentions are about looking inward and building a healthy relationship with ourselves. Intentions are also about how we treat others. As you practice your new year traditions and rituals - goal or intention setting considered some of these ingredients that are proven to help you make the most of 2024.

Intention

This is all about your relationship with yourself. Taking the time to tap into your deepest desires, playing with the “what if’s…” and feeling into how those different paths feels for you helps you getting really clear and aligned with yourself. This process is critical because it is these same emotions, energy in motion, that will drive your action plan.

Focus

There is an endless amount of distractions and potential waiting for us each day. Having the discipline to stay focused, let go of the doubts and distractions is critical to your self kindness and intention success.

Consistency

Small steps lead to big impact. Many action plans, challenges, goals fail because our plans aren’t based upon achievable and consistent action steps. Start when you are on a 3 min walk daily and increasing goals will get you to 10k but going from couch to a 5 mile run is sure to hurt your consistency.

Boundaries

Saying “no” can be challenging and it is a key ingredient in reducing burnout and protecting our peace. There are tons of books on this subject, “Set Boundaries Find Peace” by Nedra Glover Tawwab is one of our favs. Imagine it… work/life balance, healthy relationships and removing toxic people/spaces from your daily experiences. When we find a balance with our time, you will feel life start to flow.

Positive-mindset

Let’s be clear this is not about ignoring our realities or avoiding the hard stuff! This is about the way we look at and approach our reality. Being able to find the good and see the opportunities. We foster a positive-mindset by practicing gratitude, spending time with positive people that support us and working on the areas where we struggle help us take small steps at maintaining our mindful self kindness practice.

Below is a wonderful way to set intentions with simple prompts.

With gratitude,
