Ease into it
We have all experienced a lot of stress, change and loss as of late. So we have to be gentle with ourselves and allow the time you need to develop your new routines. As many of us go back into the office and kids prepare to get back to school we know there will be some hiccups. Here are some of our favorites tips for managing change and settling into your new routines.
Leave room for unhurried moments. Stress builds when are in a rush.
What you do today is your investment in what your day looks like tomorrow. For example going to be on time ensure you are well rested for tomorrow.
Name it! Not everyone enjoys talking about their feelings but acknowledging them is a big part emotional intelligence. Create a habit that works for you, and your kiddos, that helps to process emotions. Consider a walk, journaling, cuddling, etc.
Meal planning is a great way to reduce stress at the end of the day or when packing lunches.
Celebrate ALL the wins and set small achievable goals.
Above all prioritize mental health and relationship. We are all human. Tending to our mental health helps prevent burn out and spreading kindness helps nurture relationships with those we hold near a dear.
